About the course

Prerequisite: Basic and Advanced Family Mediation Courses

The 20-Hour CPS Mediation Course is a 2.5-day training open to advanced family mediators who want to gain skills and understanding of the process and dynamics of CPS mediations. The training will cover mediation and negotiation in CPS cases, Texas CPS Law, child abuse and neglect, the foster care system, and the roles of different parties in CPS mediations. Guest speakers from different organizations will help mediators understand the dynamics from multiple agency angles. Certificates are provided to participants upon completion of the course.

Trainer is an approved trainer with the Texas Mediation Trainers Roundtable.

Cost: $700 (free for eligible DFW family law attorneys - see flyer below)
